Nurture The environment
A first generation entrepreneur, Prashant Ugemuge ventured out into trading of IT hardware and telecommunication equipment in July 1999. The firm - Vidarbha Infotech soon became a popular vendor amongst all major and SME business houses in Central India. Gradually, the company became an authorised distributor for Panasonic telecom products, Idea cellular and Hewlett Packard computing products and peripherals. Having worked earlier as a Sales head, he had acquired ample exposure in the Central India markets with respect to instrumentation, testing and lab equipments, EPABX and telecom products. Over a period Vidarbha Infotech diversified into IT by claiming orders for large computerisation projects like the Nagpur DCC Band and the APMC, Nagpur. Awards and accolades came in many forms including awards from VCMDWA as the Most Admired IT and Telecom Company in Central India.In the recent years, the focus has been on creating and maintaining e-gateways for enhanced administration of Municipal Corporations in the country. Thus, initially Nagpur and thereafter Thane and Mumbai have been fully converted to the e-payment / collection system that are not only running successfully but are being lauded by the respective administrations.
